Wind Chime
Plastic Canvas Spinner
Welcome in Spring with a musical plastic canvas spinner. Project by Cathy of Service Unit 33 on Long island.

You need:

Half Piece of Plastic Canvas
Pony Beads
Aluminum Wind Chimes
Nylon Monofilament
Pipe Cleaner
Instructions:

Cut canvas piece in half to measure approximately 6½" x 10". Cut into strips measuring 1/2" x 6½". Make a small loop at the end of the pipe cleaner and twist closed. Slide on a pony bead and push it up to the loop. Slide on a plastic canvas strip pushing the pipe cleaner through the middle square at one end. Slide on another pony bead and another strip of plastic canvas. Continue until you have 14 strips and 15 pony beads on the pipe cleaner.

String the loose end of the first canvas strip on to the pipe cleaner and push it up to the last bead. The plastic will bend into the curved shape. String on a pony bead and then the next canvas strip. Continue until all the strips are used. Finish by twisting the pipe cleaner into a small loop at the bottom.

Use pieces of monofilament to hang three chimes from the bottom loop. Use another piece of monofilament to hang the spinner outside to catch the wind.
