ROW 1 (right side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each rem ch across (18
sc). Turn.
ROW 2: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * across (27 sc).
Turn.
ROW 3: * Sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * across (36 sc).
Turn.
ROW 4: Sc in first 5 sc, 2 sc in next 8 sc, sc in next 10 sc, 2 sc in
next 8 sc, sc in last 5 sc (52 sc). Turn.
ROW 5 (Armhole Shaping): Sc in first 5 sc, ch 3, sk next 16 sc (for

ROW 2: With right side still facing you, rejoin blue to top of ch-3 at

ROW 3: With right side still facing you, rejoin blue to top of ch-3 at
beg of previous row, ch 3.

only (front lps will be used for sleeve ruffle), sc in 16 sc around top
of armhole (sc left unworked in Bodice Row 5), sc in last ch, join to
first sc (19 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RNDS 2-6: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (19 sc).
Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 7: Dec over same sc as joining and next sc (to dec: draw up a lp in
next 2 sts – 3 lps now on hook, yo and draw through all 3 lps), * dec
over next 2 sc; rep from around to last sc, sc in last sc, join (10 sc).
Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 8: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (10 sc). Ch

3) in next lp; rep from * across all unworked lps to last lp, sl st in
last lp (8 ch-3 lps). Finish off, weave in ends.
Collar
With right side of bodice facing you, join royal blue to first ch at
left neck edge, ch 1. (Sc, ch 3) in same ch as joining and each rem ch
across to last ch, sc in last ch (17 ch-3 sps). Finish off, weave in
ends.
Attached Slip
With back neck edge of dress facing you, fold skirt back over bodice
exposing unworked lps from Skirt Row 1. Join white to first unworked lp
at right back opening, ch 3.
ROW 1: Dc in same lp as joining, * 2 dc in next lp, dc in next lp; rep
from * across to last lp,
3 dc in last lp (40 dc – not counting beg ch-3). Finish off, do not
turn.
ROWS 2-3: With right side still facing you, rejoin white to top of ch-3
at beg of previous row,
ch 3. Dc in each dc across (40 dc). Finish off, do not turn. At end of
Row 3, do not finish off. Join to top of beg ch-3 (to close back
opening). Ch 3, do not turn.

RNDS 4-5: Dc in each dc around, join (40 dc). Ch 3, do not turn. At end
of Rnd 5, ch 1 (in place of ch 3), do not turn.
RND 6 (Leg Hole Shaping): Working in front lp of sts for this rnd only
(back lps will be used for attached teapot), sc in first 12 dc, ch 10,
sk next 4 dc (for right leg), sc in next 8 dc, ch 10, sk next 4 dc (for
left leg), sc in last 12 dc, join to first sc (32 sc). Ch 3, do not
turn.
RND 7 (Slip Ruffle): Work 2 dc in same sc as joining and each rem sc and
in top lp only of each ch around top of leghole (rem lp of chs will be
used for legs), join to top of beg ch-3 (104 dc – not counting beg
ch-3). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 8: * (Sc, ch 3) in next dc, sk next dc; rep from * around, join to
first sc (52 ch-3 sps). Finish off, weave in ends. Set dress aside.
Legs with Attached Pantaloons (make 2)
Legs: Starting at toe end with white, ch 2.
RND 1 (right side): Work 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join to first sc (3
sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 2: Work 2 sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (6
sc). Ch 1, do not turn. Push toe end to right side.
RNDS 3-4: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (6 sc).
Ch 1, do not turn. At end of Rnd 4, with eraser end of pencil, push beg
yarn length down into toe.
RND 5: Work 2 sc in same sc as joining, sc in each rem sc around, join
(7 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RNDS 6-13: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (7 sc).
Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 14: Work 2 sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (14
sc). Finish off
leaving a 15" (38cm) end for sewing leg to slip.
Attached Pantaloons: With top (open end) of leg facing you, rejoin white
to outside (back) lp only of first sc from Leg Rnd 14, ch 4.
RND 1: Working in outside lp of sts for this rnd only (inside lps will
be used for sewing leg to leghole), trc in same sc as joining and each
rem sc around (keeping 15" [38cm] end on inside), join to top of beg
ch-4 (14 trc – not counting beg ch-4). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 2: (Sc, ch 3) in each trc around, join to first sc (14 ch-3 sps).
Finish off, weave in pantaloon ends only. Fold pantaloons down over leg.
Legs Finishing
STEP 1: Cut one 6mm x 12" (30.5cm) white chenille stem in half. Fold
each piece in half, pressing fold tight. Insert folded end inside leg
and push down to toe end. Fold over excess top of chenille stem even
with top of leg and stuff into leg. Rep for other leg.
STEP 2: Hold front neck edge of dress facing you. Using 15" (38cm)
length of yarn at top of leg and tapestry needle, starting at 2nd
skipped dc at back of leghole (from Slip Rnd 6), sew leg to leghole
using front lps only of skipped dc at back of leg (back lps will be used
for teapot) and working under slip ruffle at front of leg. Pass needle
through top of slip ruffle. Sew top leg opening closed on top of ruffle,
easing fullness of ruffle at leg front to leg back. Secure yarn end. Rep
for other leg. Bend first 5 leg rows forward for foot.
Dress Finishing
Sew 2 sets hooks and eyes to bodice back opening: one set at neck just
below collar and one set at waist. Set dress aside.
Shoes (make 2)
Starting at center of sole with black, ch 8.
RND 1 (right side): Work 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 5 chs, 3
sc in last ch. Working around opposite side of starting ch, sc in next 5
chs, join to first sc (16 sc). Cut black, join royal blue. Continuing
with blue, ch 1, do not turn.
RND 2: Working in back lp of sts for this rnd only (front lps rem
unworked for edge of sole), sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc
around, join (16 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 3: Sc in same sc as joining and next 7 sc (dec over next 2 sc) twice
(for toe end), sc in last 4 sc, do not join, ch or turn (14 sc).
RND 4: Working in back lp of sts only (front lps rem unworked), sl st in
each sc around, join to first sl st (14 sl sts). Finish off, weave in
ends. Hot glue one shoe onto each foot. Shape foot and shoe.
Attached Teapot Lining
Fold slip ruffle and legs back over slip exposing unworked lps from Slip
Rnd 6. With back neck edge of dress facing you, join medium pink to
first unworked lp from Slip Rnd 6, ch 1.
RND 1: Sc in same lp as joining and next 11 lps, sc in next 4 lps across
back of leg (from Leg Finishing Step 2), sc in next 8 lps, sc in next 4
lps across back of leg, sc in last 12 lps, join to first sc (40 sc). Ch
2, do not turn.
RND 2: Working in back lp of sts for this rnd only (front lps will be
used for teapot), hdc in same sc as joining and next 2 sc, * 2 hdc in
next sc, hdc in next 3 sc; rep from * around to last sc, 2 hdc in last
sc, join to top of beg ch-2 (50 hdc – not counting beg ch-2). Ch 2, do
not turn.
RNDS 3-8: Hdc in each hdc around, join (50 hdc). Ch 2, do not turn.
RND 9: * Hdc in next 8 hdc, dec over next 2 hdc (to dec: yo, draw up a
lp in next 2 sts – 4 lps now on hook, yo and draw through all 4 lps);
rep from * around, join (45 hdc – not counting beg ch-2). Ch 2, do not
turn.
RND 10: Hdc in each hdc around, join (45 hdc). Ch 2, do not turn.
RND 11: * Hdc in next 7 hdc, dec over next 2 hdc; rep from * around,
join (40 hdc – not counting beg ch-2). Finish off, weave in ends.
Teapot
With back neck edge of dress facing you, rejoin medium pink to first lp
left unworked from Teapot Lining Rnd 2, ch 2.
RND 1: Hdc in same lp as joining and next 2 lps, * 2 hdc in next lp, hdc
in next 3 lps; rep from * around to last lp, 2 hdc in last lp, join (50
hdc – not counting beg ch-2). Ch 2, do not turn.
RNDS 2-10: Rep Teapot Lining Rnds 3-11. At end of Rnd 10, do not finish
off. Ch 2, do not turn.
RND 11: Hdc in each hdc around, join (40 hdc). Ch 2, do not turn.
RND 12: Working in Teapot Lining Rnd 11 and Teapot Rnd 11 tog, matching
sts, hdc in each hdc around, join (40 hdc). Ch 2, do not turn.
RND 13: Hdc in each hdc around, join (40 hdc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 14: Hold 1 large cloth-covered rubber band on sts from Rnd 13.
Working over rubber band, sc in each hdc around, join to first sc (40
sc). Finish off, weave in ends. Place dress on doll and close back
hooks. Set aside.
Teapot Spout
Starting at tip of spout with medium pink, ch 8. Being careful not to
twist ch length, join to first sc to form a circle, ch 1.
RND 1 (right side): Work 10 sc in center of circle, join to first sc (10
sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RNDS 2-6: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (10 sc).
Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 7: Work 2 sc in same sc as joining and next sc, sc in next 6 sc, 2
sc in last 2 sc, join (14 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 8: Sc in same sc as joining and next 4 sc, sl st in next 4 sc, sc in
last 5 sc, join (14 sts). Finish off leaving a 12" (30cm) end for sewing
spout to teapot. Set aside.
Teapot Handle
Starting at top of handle with medium pink, leaving a 12" (30cm) beg
length (for sewing top of handle to teapot), ch 7. Being careful not to
twist ch length, join to first ch to form a circle, ch 1.
RND 1 (right side): Work 8 sc in center of circle, join to first sc (8
sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RNDS 2-18: Sc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join (8 sc).
Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 19: Sc in same sc as joining, * 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc; rep
from * around to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, join (12 sc). Ch 1, do not
turn.
RND 20: Sc in same sc as joining and next sc, * 2 sc in next sc, sc in
next 2 sc; rep from * around to last sc, 2 sc in last sc, join (16 sc).
Finish off leaving a 14" (35cm) end for sewing bottom of handle to
teapot. Set aside.
Teapot Flowers (make 3)
STEP 1: With blue, ch 4. Sl st in 4th ch from hook (first petal), * ch
3, sl st in same ch as first sl st; rep from * 2 times more (4 petals).
Finish off leaving a 6" (15cm) end for sewing flower to teapot. Weave in
beg yarn length.
STEP 2: Thread tapestry needle with 7" (18cm) of light yellow yarn.
Leaving a 11/2" (4cm) beg length, pass tapestry needle from wrong side
at flower center to right side. Work French knot (see Figure 1) and pass
needle back to wrong side through center. Knot ends securely on wrong
side and trim close. Set flowers aside.
Leaves (make 3)
With dark green, ch 4. Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next ch, hdc in
last ch. Finish off leaving a 6" (15cm) end for sewing leaf to teapot.
Weave in beg yarn length.
Teapot Finishing
STEP 1: Using back end of crochet hook, lightly stuff spout with
fiberfill. Starting with 12" (30cm) sewing length of yarn to the top,
sew spout to right side of teapot (even with doll’s right arm) over Rnds
5-7. Shape spout upward.
STEP 2: Stuff handle with fiberfill. Keeping joining seam to the inside,
with 12" (30cm) sewing length, sew top of handle to left side of teapot
(even with doll’s left arm) over Rnds 3-4. With 14" (35cm) sewing
length, sew bottom of handle below top of handle over Teapot Rnds 9-12.
STEP 3: Sew 3 flowers and 3 leaves to center front of teapot (between
spout and handle) as shown in Figure 2.
STEP 4: Insert cone-shaped air freshener into bottom of teapot. Set doll
aside.
Apron
(Note: For smoother side edges, do not ch 1 at end of each row.)
Starting at waist edge with white, ch 11.
ROW 1 (right side): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and each rem ch across (10
sc). Turn.
ROW 2: Sc in each sc across (10 sc). Turn.
ROW 3: * Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from * across (15 sc).
Turn.
ROWS 4-9: Sc in each sc across (15 sc). Turn. At end of Row 9, finish
off, do not turn.
Apron Edging
With right side still facing you and waist edge facing to your right,
rejoin white to first row end at right waist edge, ch 1. Working around
apron sides and bottom, counting each row end as a st, (sc, ch 3) in
same st as joining, * sk next st, (sc, ch 3) in next st; rep from *
around to last 2 sts at left waist edge, sk next st, sc in last st (15
ch-3 sps.) Finish off, weave in ends.
Waist Ties
With white, ch 40 (for first tie). Continuing with same yarn, with right
side of apron facing you, sl st across waist edge, ch 40 (for second
tie). Secure ends and trim close. Place apron over front of skirt and
tie waist ties in bow in back.
Headband
With royal blue, ch 40. Being careful not to twist ch length, join to
first ch to form a circle, ch 1.
RND 1 (right side): Sc in same ch as joining and each rem ch around,
join to first sc (40 sc). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 2: Sk joining sc, sl st in each rem sc around, join to first sl st.
Finish off, weave in ends. Pull hair through headband and place around
head.
Doily
Starting at center of doily with white, ch 2.
RND 1 (right side): Work 12 sc in 2nd ch from hook, join to first sc (12
sc). Ch 3, do not turn.
RND 2: Work 2 dc in same sc as joining and each rem sc around, join to
top of beg ch-3 (24 dc – not counting beg ch-3). Ch 3, do not turn.
RND 3: * Dc in next dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, join (36 dc
– not counting beg ch-3). Ch 3, do not turn.
RND 4: * Dc in next 2 dc, 2 dc in next dc; rep from * around, join (48
dc – not counting beg ch-3). Ch 1, do not turn.
RND 5: * Sc in next 3 dc, 2 sc in next dc; rep from * around, join to
first sc (60 sc). Finish off, weave in ends.
Doily Finishing
Sew (or hot glue) gathered edge of a 12" (30cm) piece of 1" (2.5cm)
gathered lace over right side of sc row around outside of doily, easing
in fullness and overlapping ends about 1/4" (6mm). Place doll on doily.
